Performance by Esther Siddiquie

16 June 2023, 3.45 PM
Rathausvorplatz Wedding / Wedding Town Hall Square

The performance is the outcome of a research that explores approaches of a somatic archival work. The body is centered and made visible within the context of the archive. The research thus questions conventional archiving methods and instead tests the potential of an archive to bring the body into movement. The artist is working with a documentary film archive of her deceased father Shabbir Siddiquie.
